Welcome to CoDA (Community Development Action), a non-profit NGO in Ghana dedicated to making a difference in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Founded in 2009 in the village of Kongo, located in the Nabdam district, our mission is to empower local communities through education and sustainable development initiatives.
Our Mission At CoDA, we are committed to fostering positive change by providing educational opportunities and promoting economic empowerment among marginalized groups.
Education Projects As an NGO in Ghana, CoDA focuses on education, particularly in schools within the community and surrounding areas. We recognize the importance of access to technology in today’s world, which is why we established a computer lab to bridge the digital divide. Many locals lack access to devices and digital literacy skills, so our computer lab aims to provide them with essential computer skills for the future.
Empowering Women We believe in the power of women to drive change within their communities. As part of our NGO projects in Ghana, we provide employment opportunities for women, including the creation of handmade baskets and the production of shea butter. These initiatives not only generate income but also empower women to become self-sufficient and active participants in local economies.
Partnerships CoDA is proud to collaborate with Mondo, an NGO based in Estonia. Through this partnership, we receive financial support, send and host volunteers, and jointly manage projects aimed at improving the quality of life in our region.
